Generally, we apply the DAP term for most quotes but can be adjusted to EXW/FOB/DDU/DDP as per the client’s requirement. Here is a short explanation of each shipment plan:
- DAP (Delivered at Place): We are responsible for the good delivery to an agreed-upon place and we bear the risk and cost incurred. However, you are responsible for unloading the goods and other subsequent risks and costs.
- EXW (Ex Works): We are responsible for making the manufactured part at our premises. You are responsible for the cost and risk associated with shipping from our premises to yours.
- FOB (Free on Board): We are responsible for delivering and loading the manufactured part to a named port of shipment. You are responsible for the risk transportation, insurance, and customs clearance from the port of shipment onwards.
- DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): We will deliver the manufactured good to an agreed-upon location without being responsible for import duties and taxes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the cost from the destination port to the destination.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): We will deliver the goods to the named destination responsible for the transportation, insurance, customs clearance, and payment of import duties and taxes.
